Yes!! I finally worked out what is wrong with Blogger! they are always changing things and I'm not that literate on computers it takes me ages to work it out,
So I will give you a run down on the Monkeys!
They remain monkeys,I'm sure if they had a tree they would swing in it all day!!!
Jake is growing up so fast , he tries so hard to be a big boy most of the time then he loves quiet moments of being a little boy and snuggles.I can hardly believe he was such a picky boy with food when he was little, each day now he enjoys a salad with veggies and fruit for lunch , with his sandwich, he enjoys grilled cheese sandwich which is not his favorite, he eats turkey and lettuce, peanut butter, nuttella of course and most of what I offer him. Ian does about the same, although Ian isn't as keen on the lettuce he will eat it, life is so much easier now packing picnics with summer coming.
Jake Loves bible stories, and is great at memory verses,he is reading so well and enjoys going to the library to get new books to read sight words,
He loves Lego and builds amazing things , my favorite thing he does is his drawings he is quite the artist, He really Loves school Jake has never had trouble fitting in anywhere he is such a social boy!
Ian his favorite thing to do is to just play , he is a home body, he loves to stay home and be left alone to just play and has quite the imagination for one so young. he is also quite stubborn but we have been working on it and he is doing much better , no idea who he gets that from ? I'm sure the Grandmas Know :)!
Ian Loves his pre -school and is so proud when he brings home work he has done, he never wants to go out like Jake did he likes to stay home! although Ian did when he was really little,
He is a very cute Kid and Knows it , it helps him get by with to much at times! he melts your heart! and he has the Best smile in the world!!!
he also has the best snuggle! my favorite time is a cup of coffee and our private snuggle in the morning, or after preschool when he runs and jumps into my arms when I get him from Pre -School!
The two boys bring me so much Joy even on the Tough days when it seems all were doing is having "Talks" and there's always cuddles after the talks anyway,
Over the last 4 weeks while we have been away we have done a number of things, one highlight was Disney on Ice last Saturday, that was a wonderful day, Jake really enjoyed it, Ian wanted mommy towards the end, but he enjoyed it still,
We went to a Huge Dinosaur display in Kansas City where they even had Dino rides that was a Big Hit but Very tiring, we did that while Mommy and daddy were overseas.
Then the home and Garden show which again was a big hit because they saw a Lot of farm equipment, and sat on a Lot, and got a Lot pf free Junk!
We did a Lot of other Fun things, crafts, movie night, ice cream party, and reading many many stories!!
The boys are Boys though and sometimes they get me in hysterics, You can be sat anywhere and Ian especially as loud as he can will , let off steam, air, wind,or pumper as he calls it and you know he wanted to make it loud by the look on his face, they he will say GRANNY why do you do that!! so everyone around looks and were all Laughing! BOYS!!!
We have a Behaviour chart now where a number of things are put on it and they get a smiley for each thing done, then if they get all smileys each day they pick a thing from the treasure chest each night,if they get all five days they get something out of the bigger chest of Fridays! they help write the chart each Monday so they are aware of whats on there, and aware of their struggles, on there they put chores for the week, they include putting clothing away, emptying school bag, clearing table, etc, then the behavior!!!!! so one of Jake's last weeks was NOT showing my toosh to Ian. (bending over) Ian had no spitting at my Brother! ( most of these are their choice unless We have one we need changed)
no peeing on floor!! that was Mine! so you can see our fun with Boys!! Love it or hate it , it is boys!
Oh the joys! they are so lovable though I cant imagine my Days without them.
Hope this catches up a little of the monkeys!!! Life with granny,
Photos will follow!
