a week of monkey business!!

We really have had challenges this week with two monkeys going through the terrible twos!! but we are almost through the weeks and granny has aged 20 years!! a scary 2 year old that doesn't know danger and doesn't understand the word don't do that, and a 4 years old that things he is past being corrected and is in fact the boss makes days interesting, they forget I have lived a Long time and can handle almost all situations, except climbing up the highest slide at monkey business when the 2 year old climbs it but after his 1st 2nd and 3rd go it was  no issue. so I just left him to it and watched!! if he fell it was bouncy so he would bounce too!! fearless Fred he is. Jake and cooper chased each other everywhere, they really are developing a friendship, Ian is not so interested in friendships yet, he likes everyone but is to busy trying to climb, do better than everyone else and get into mischief to worry about friends, he has become very social though which is a good thing, our trip to monkey business ended with Fritz's for lunch, (Nasty food)  a treat because i rarely take Jake to lunch these days,  a nap was much needed after this, sadly for granny no one slept long,.
the following day was a day of craft turkey making with hand paints and paper plates very much enjoyed by Jake, Ian was well you don't really think I want to sit still and do craft do you? I have better things I can get in to !!! and he sure got into all he could. it was Red and yellow day at school for Jake he doesn't have much yellow but we found some things,
Wednesday was pretty lay back stories playing and trying to keep the monkeys tamed, Jake went with mommy and daddy for lunch then Ian and Granny went for lunch, Ian's not sleeping so well at night so days he has been grumpy but we managed to get some naps in then  i need to wake him to get him up to go and get Jake from preschool he really gets upset over this, we came home and had baths then relaxed
Thursday was a Short morning Jake and granny sorted all the toy boxes in the play room and got that all tidied while Ian made a mess,. then the boys had a VERY early lunch because Jake had to go for his shots before school. Ian went down for an early nap thinking he could catch up on sleep he still was asleep when it was time to get Jake so once again he was upset, he is doing very well with potty training and rarely has an accident now!!!! BIG BOY, on the way home from school we stopped at the mall and they had a cookie from the cookie store that was a big hit, then they had a ride on the merry go round so it was a very good end to the day,
Today and the last day of the week and the reason for the Photos was a visit to the Fire station, the kids had a Tour and it was a lot of fun the Boys REALLY enjoyed it, they  explored how the fireman live on their 24hr shifts, and all the parts of the fire engine, they even got to go in the engine and saw a fireman dress in his Fireproof clothing, Jake and Ian both hugged him last time we went he was scared so this made me very happy because they know if ever theres a Fire and they are trapped that is the person to run too and hug. when we left Jake ran to a fireman ans hugged him. Jake has such a sweet spirit and this point I will add the note I sent his Mommy and daddy earlier today,

You know your work is well rewarded is the parents when you hear little boy say granny I'm  going to pray his prayer was dear god thank you for keeping the kids safe . Please don't let there be a teacher inside .Thank you that the fire trucks there to help. Yes this blubber eyed granny could barely drive. The reason  for the prayer we drove by Maranatha school all the kids outside and fire trucks there . What a sweet spirited boy. Ah my heart melted

We came home played outside for a bit until the cleaners finished then had lunch and now all is peaceful I really hope Ian has a GOOD rest there is nothing to get up for today so he can sleep well.
